IT'S SNOWSHOE TIME AT CIAMPAC
THE SEASON OF GUIDED SNOW EXCURSIONS BEGINS TODAY
The magic of winter at Ciampac can also be experienced at the leisurely pace of snowshoes. The guided snowshoeing season officially begins Wednesday, December 17th, a regular event that will accompany snow lovers every Wednesday and Friday morning along a fascinating 3-kilometer circular route, immersed in one of the most evocative landscapes of the Dolomites.
The route winds through the Ciampac basin, easily reachable by cable car from Alba di Canazei, at the foot of the majestic Colac, offering spectacular views of the Sella Group and Piz Boè. Each excursion will be led by Alpine Guides, who will accompany groups of up to 26 people exploring the area, sharing anecdotes about the alpine environment and revealing the secrets of the snow, which changes every week.
The meeting point is at 10:00 a.m. at the cable car valley station, and the activity lasts approximately two hours. The cost also includes equipment rental. At the end of the hike, you can choose whether to return to the valley or continue the day in the sun and relax, perhaps with a traditional lunch at one of the four mountain huts in the area.
Following last winter’s success, sunset snowshoe hikes with aperitifs are back, scheduled for Monday, December 22nd, January 5th, and January 26th. This evocative experience begins at 2:00 p.m. and culminates with a panoramic toast at sunset, when the Dolomites are tinged with pink in the enchantment of the Enrosadira.
For those who want to experience it independently, the trail is always accessible even without a guide and can be a perfect activity for families or groups of friends: a chance to slow down, listen to nature and fully enjoy the beauty of winter.
