SEPTEMBER

AT CIAMPAC

The Ciampac lifts are still open until September 14, 2025! Here are some ideas for enjoying the beautiful early autumn days:

  • HIGH-ALTITUDE EXCURSIONS: Ciampac is a mountain waiting to be discovered. Relaxing walks in the basin, hikes along the panoramic ridges, circular excursions overlooking the Dolomites and plateaus offering incredible views of the surrounding peaks and of the Fassa Valley. Whatever your level, Ciampac has something for you!

  • HIKE & BIKE: What better time than a clear early autumn day for a circular hike? This tour, also suitable for families, combines a scenic ridge hike from Buffaure to Ciampac, the use of the lifts, and a bike ride along the Fassa Valley cycle path that runs along the Avisio River.
  • THEMATIC ROUTES: If you’re looking for the perfect place for a family day, you’ve just found it! At Ciampac, in addition to the beautiful playground with original wooden games, you’ll also find three thematic routes for children dedicated to mountain animals and the powerful vehicles used in both summer and winter. These include the trails “Driver at Ciampac,” “On the Tracks of Ciampy,” and “The Marmot Trail.”
  • WELL-BEING AND RELAXATION: September, when the mountains begin to become less populated and even quieter, is the ideal month to try the sensory experience of “Out of the Box.” A unique and innovative sensory journey at high altitude, allowing you to experience the mountains slowly, savoring every single moment. Thanks to the use of cards that will guide you along the route, you’ll be able to enjoy a truly immersive experience, focusing on your five senses.

  • COLD AND SOUND BATHS: The Ciampac season will close with an unmissable and unique experience dedicated to yoga, sound baths, meditation, and cold baths at 2,100 meters above sea level. Join us on Friday, September 12th and Saturday, September 13th, 2025, to take some time for yourself, recharge and immerse yourself in a sound bath on meadows overlooking the Dolomites and in cool waters overlooking the Sella Group and Colac.
  • WORKS OF ART: In addition to the exceptional views of the Sella Group, the Marmolada and the Catinaccio massif, the simple ridge walk connecting Ciampac with Buffaure also offers moments of art and relaxation thanks to the art installations by Marco Nones. Fun thrones and intriguing benches will make your walk and relaxation even more unforgettable!

  • MOUNTAIN HUTS: To make a day at high altitude even more rejuvenating and fully experience local tradition, a stop at a mountain refuge for a Ladin lunch or a delicious snack is a must. In the Ciampac basin, you’ll find four mountain refuges where you can enjoy Ladin and Trentino delicacies and treat yourself to a piece of strudel or a delicious slice of cake. Directly at the cable car arrival station, you’ll find the Rifugio Crepa Neigra, with a wonderful terrace overlooking the Sella Massif. Near the Ciampark playground, you’ll find Baita Valeruz, a recently renovated refuge with a glass window overlooking Piz Boè. Then there’s the Rifugio Ciampac and, a little higher up, the Rifugio Tobià del Giagher, where you can stay overnight. Both offer a wide range of local products and traditional dishes, as well as game specialties.
