At Ciampac, endless fun

Ciampac is a perfect hiking area for families which boasts a wide range of panoramic excursions, also suitable for children. In addition, just a few minutes from the arrival of the cable car, you will find the Ciampark, a high-altitude playground, entirely made of wood and immersed in a fairytale landscape. In the last few years the playground was enriched with new pleasant surprises, all worth trying! Slides and swings but also bowling, mini golf “by hand”, a giant version of Connect Four, huge puzzles and memory and much more waiting for you. With a short walk you can also reach the Stream Ciampac, near the chairlift, where you can seek the colored stones to take home as a souvenir.

At Ciampark you will also find The Dragon Race: an interactive track for wooden balls, over 30 meters long! Follow the ball on its incredible journey until it exits the dragon’s mouth and try out all the various mechanisms and gears along the way.

But that’s not all, in summer at Ciampac there’s plenty of choice!

Along the road that leads up to the chairlift, various wooden works of art which depict the powerful vehicles used by the Ciampac staff both in summer and in winter have been set up. Children can climb up on the various wooden works and become real engine experts following the thematic route Driver at Ciampac. A mission is hidden along the way: find the magic word, necessary to obtain the Ciampac driving licence!

For those who are looking for a more challenging path, Ciampac offers the new itineraryOn the tracks of Ciampy”. Along this route dedicated to the Ciampac chamois, children will be asked to complete a small mission at each of the ten stops: find the hidden profile, essential to helping Ciampy find his shadow. Accompanying him on this journey there will also be the mysterious presence of the People of Silence: small, ancient spirits linked to the various mountain environments. At the end of the trail, children will receive an original prize tied to the story in the booklet. The high-altitude route, which starts from the spectacular panoramic point of Sella Brunech (2428 metres), will give you enchanted glimpses of the most beautiful Dolomite peaks.

And then there’s The Marmot Trail: a thematic route for children aged 5 years and over to discover lots of curiosities about marmots and join Margot the marmot during her adventures. After picking up the booklet at the Info Point you can set off on an adventure and, using stickers, follow the clues and accompany Margot on her incredible journey.

Up here you will also make friendly encounters with grazing animals and have the chance to take part in our weekly activities. Every Monday and Friday the guide will accompany you “Looking for Marmots” to discover these clumsy mountain dwellers and their burrows. On Wednesdays it is possible to visit the small farm of the Tobià del Giagher Refuge and find out more about “The animal friends of Ciampac”. While every Thursday the activity “The Magic of Butter” is organized, a manual workshop to discover all the secrets of the churn in order to make delicious butter. Then there is also the possibility of taking panoramic excursions or a via ferrata accompanied by a guide, discovering the magical world of bees, indulging in moments of well-being, or practicing yoga at high altitude.

For a typical Ladin lunch or a tasty snack, you can go to one of the four mountain refuges located in the basin. There you can taste the delicacies of the Ladin and Trentino cuisine.
