If you’re a beginner and would like to try via ferratas, this activity is for you! Entrust yourself to the expert mountain guides of the Fassa Valley to discover the new panoramic via ferrata that allows you to reach the summit of Crepa Neigra, a mountain with an unusual shape and of volcanic origin. This route, classified as EEA-PD (moderately difficult), is also perfect for beginners to this speciality. With proper guidance, they can learn to use the via ferrata kit in complete safety, taking home interesting facts about the Alpine environment and all the necessary precautions for practicing this sport.
By sliding the carabiners on the lanyard you can admire the most beautiful Dolomite peaks of the Val di Fassa: Vernel, Marmolada, Sella Group, Sassolungo and Catinaccio.
The activity will take place weekly, alternating the via ferratas Roda di Vael in the Catinaccio group, Bepi Zac at Passo San Pellegrino, and Crepa Neigra at Ciampac. From mid-July to the end of August, the Crepa Neigra via ferrata excursion is guaranteed every Tuesday (barring unforeseen circumstances or the minimum number of participants not being reached).
Hiking boots or trekking shoes are required (no sneakers). It’s recommended to bring a wind/rain jacket, a bottle of water, and a snack/lunch. Lunch can be enjoyed at the mountain refuge after the via ferrata.
- When: every Tuesday from 16th June to 8th September 2026 (from mid-July to the end of August, the Crepa Neigra via ferrata excursion is guaranteed every Tuesday, barring unforeseen circumstances or failure to reach the minimum number of participants)
- For who: adults and children aged at least 12 years

- Meeting point: at 8:30 at the valley station of the Ciampac cable car (Alba di Canazei). For the other two via ferratas, the meeting point will be at the valley station of the Paolina chairlift (Costalunga Pass) or of the Costabella chairlift (San Pellegrino Pass).
