PATH ALBA-CIAMPAC

To reach Ciampac on foot starting from the lift parking lot, take the trail that starts near the ski slope, where there’s a fork to Val Contrin. Once you reach the foot of the ski slope, continue slightly to the right where the trail begins in the woods. The trail zigzags initially, then alternates between sections in the woods and sections along the forest road. Signs along the entire route indicate the direction to take to reach the Ciampac basin.

The trail, almost entirely uphill, has an elevation gain of about 700 meters and levels out in the final stretch when you arrive in a large meadow, just before reaching your destination. At Ciampac, there are many options for continuing your day at high altitude. For families, the Ciampark playground with original wooden games and the stream with precious stones to search for are not to be missed. Three thematic routes dedicated to large vehicles and mountain animals complete the offer for children. Furthermore, taking the chairlift to reach the spectacular panoramic viewpoint of Sella Brunech is definitely worth it.

For adults, the innovative Out of the Box sensory trail awaits you for a unique and unforgettable immersive experience, in addition to the numerous excursions you can make by taking the chairlift up to Sella Brunech. Moreover, there are four mountain refuges where you can savor Ladin and Trentino specialties as well as numerous opportunities to relax surrounded by nature. To return to Alba di Canazei, take the cable car that takes you to the village in about ten minutes.

Before setting off, we recommend consulting the trail accessibility bulletin or contacting local tourist offices.
