BEHIND THE SCENES OF SKIING: LET’S DISCOVER THE MAGICAL WORLD OF SNOWMAKING AND SNOW CATS

This winter, Ciampac will once again offer the “Behind the scenes of skiing” experience. These three unmissable opportunities will give you a closer look at the snowmaking world and answer all your questions about the work done by those who groom the ski slopes. It’s a tough job with demanding hours, but it’s sure to be a thrilling experience. You will meet the people who work on the ski slopes every day, setting up and turning on the snow cannons and driving the snowcats to groom the slopes and make them perfect again for the next day.
The meeting is at 2:30 pm directly at Ciampac, at the top station of the cable car. We’ll talk about snow, snowmaking, slopes and avalanche safety. It will then be the turn of the snowcat drivers, the heroes of the night, who will show us their snowcats up close and tell us lots of interesting things about their job.
To round off the day in style and share some last-minute conversation, a rich aperitif awaits us at the Crepa Neigra mountain refuge: a toast accompanied by local cured meats and cheeses, with a spectacular view of the Sella Group.
